BMP2SRC This program provides a way to get monochrome bitmaps into SCHEDIT libs. You have to run SLM to compile lib files, and to assemble the bitmaps into pre-existing libs. Tricky but OK in the DOS SLM.EXE. It is confusing in that you have to back out carefully from any proceedure and have faith that you will be offered an opportunity to save! There is of course a perfectly adequate BMPTOSRC.exe as part of CONVERT.EXE supplied on the web, but it requires win32 and some people dont have that! Also it puts bitmaps in Autotrax libs and not SCHEDIT libs. There is no obvious reason to run this conversion in a GUI, but anyway this version needs Qt, Kde3, and it works. We have not bothered to GPL this program or list it on Freecode and only wrote it so logos etc could be put on circuit diagrams. SCHEDIT has the ability to provide multiple bitmaps for an object - as when several circuit elements exist in one package. The way of utilising this power is to be described in the BMP2SRC doc. *******************************************************************
